Over the range microwaves also called otr microwaves are great space savers but note that in general they do not vent quite as well as a stand alone hood.
This is a classic choice especially in smaller kitchens.
You need a microwave designed especially for the job as well as a vent to carry away exhaust fumes from the stove.
